The Gold Coast Titans are proud of their major presence in the community supporting our grassroots stakeholders, community partners and charities through player and club appearances. As an organisation that has built a reputation on its significant community contribution, we understand that with an elite national profile comes the added responsibility to work with the broader community to set a positive example and assist in addressing many of the social issues impacting society.

We aim to build upon the work the club has already achieved, which include the following highlights;

• NRL Community Club of the Year (2009)

• Ken Stephen Medallists – Preston Campbell (2008), Luke Douglas (2015) & Ryan James (2018)

• Gold Coast Young Australian of the Year – Kane Elgey (2017)

Rugby League is a fantastic vehicle for influencing and engaging important community issues. Through the commitment of our playing group/community along with our dedicated administrative staff, we are able to drive our many meaningful programs delivered as a club. As the club is focused on the delivery of our community programs, we therefore have limited player resources available for appearances that do not have a direct benefit to the club or community.

The Gold Coast Titans have been through many changes in our short club history. From players, coaches and staff, to training facilities and owners. The one thing that hasn’t changed at the Titans is our commitment to community.

The bar was set high from our number one signing and foundation player Preston Campbell in 2007. A legacy was created of giving back to the community and that legacy has carried through the years and all the changes to our current squad, led by local product Ryan James.

The Titans actively support local schools, clubs, charities and community organisations through our programs, appearances and donations. Since the club's inception, we have spent 19,435 hours at 4,659 appearances and donated $3,102,181 worth of merchandise, memorabilia, tickets and other items.

A key component of the Titans is the engagement of schools, students, parents and teachers through our specially formatted programs, targeting academic and social areas in education. The success of our programs lead the club to be awarded the 2009 NRL Community Club of the Year.

The Gold Coast and Northern Rivers area is a rugby league nursery that has produced some of the NRL’s most entertaining players. The support and development of our grassroots clubs is a priority through coach education, representative pathways growth and sponsor benefits, which in turn will see club volunteers and their community prosper.

For more information about what we do in the community, please navigate through the website or to contact us email

The Gold Coast Titans are proud to support not-for-profit and charitable organisations.

The Club understands that providing support to the community is important and the Gold Coast Titans assist a variety of not-for-profit and charitable organisations through awareness and fundraising activities, with donations of signed memorabilia and other merchandise.

The Club receives hundreds of requests for donations and/or assistance from many worthy charitable organisations and individuals each year.

While the Gold Coast Titans are committed to assisting the community, we are unfortunately unable to successfully fulfil every request due to the high volume received.

Please note:

  • All members and supporters are encouraged to attend events where players may be available for signing of autographs.
  • Requests for monetary donations and sponsorship will not be accepted.
  • The Gold Coast Titans receive many requests from individuals who have fallen on hard times. Whilst we hope to assist in as many requests as possible, the individual’s relationship with the game and the club will be a factor in assisting requests.

titans School Programs

A key component of our community activity is the engagement of schools, students, parents and teachers through our specially formatted programs, the success of which led to the Titans being awarded the 2009 NRL One Community Club of the Year. The Titans have a variety of school community programs to suit many scenarios. Titans Community staff are trained in the delivery of these programs to ensure a positive and engaging experience for all involved.

What is the Titans Learning Centre?

In partnership with Education Queensland, the Titans Learning Centre (TLC) aims to support those students participating in the program to engage in self-learning and to value lifelong education. The program caters for 30 students per term who have been identified by their classroom teacher as being at risk of disengaging from school. The students are drawn from Years 3 and 4 may demonstrate low self-esteem, difficulties socially, disinterest in school, poor academic performance, attendance problems and other emerging social issues.

The TLC provides a positive learning environment that affords all students the opportunity to achieve to their full potential by:

  • Developing self-esteem, resilience and social skills
  • Interacting with high profile players as positive role models
  • Teaching the skills necessary to make informed decisions and develop social and personal competencies necessary to participate in a democratic society
  • Experiencing real life and lifelong learning to become a valued member of the community
  • Focusing on literacy and numeracy

The role of players in the Titans Learning Centre:

  • Give the children motivation to attend school
  • Part of behaviour management/reward system (activity & token reinforcement)
  • Act as a mentor to the children

What the program is to the players:

  • A holistic, club level, investment in their players for life after football
  • Opportunity to see themselves in a different light, with different skill set
  • A kind of mentoring pathway for young players joining the club on club expectations about community engagement

“This program has been a life saver for us. Jack is a happy child again, who is first up in the morning, dressed and ready for school” - Parent

“Since going to the TLC, Abby is now a different little girl. She is well behaved, helps me around the house, listens to me, understands the consequences of her behaviour, has made friends, is more confident and works better at school” - Parent

“The TLC is a wonderful opportunity for children whom are struggling in whatever area of school life. It is a wonderful, worthwhile experience. We are so very grateful that Tommy was given the opportunity and what it has done for him” – Parent
